We looked at another on that was a demo on the sales floor and had been refurbished, but it didn't come with the cables, and we would have needed different rechargeable batteries (and charger) than we already have. So, in the long run, it would have cost more. This is a nice enough camera, and I like the brand (our workhorse laser printer is Samsung), so I'm definitely a happy camper. This one can do great videos - something I've never done before - and has just the right number of features for me. Not too complicated, but customizable enough that I can manually set the aperture or shutter speed if I like....
