New England Unschooling
Discussion and support group for unschoolers in Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Connecticut.

Unschooling Maine
This group is open to unschoolers in Maine/NH or anyone moving to Maine/NH who plans to unschool. Other states welcome, but please realize we are discussing local issues and meets pertaining to Maine, NH and sometimes MA.
The goal is for unschoolers to talk and/or meet other unschoolers in a welcome, accepting environment.
This list does not meet weekly, especially during the winter, due to the 60+ member locations; however, we do welcome posts of invites to events. We have a community of friendships new and old, and we do hang out on occasion. We welcome new members and friendships. Delmarva Unschoolers
Unschoolers on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. This is a secular discussion list and a list for posting activities and get togethers. We are unschoolers, but not exclusively so.

Unschooling Family Connection (MarylandUFC)
We are a support group for unschoolers for the Montgomery County/ Frederick County Area. Unschooling Family Connection was founded in order to provide support for unschooling parents and activities, socialization and fun for the children. We have field trips, park days, celebrations and online support.


Boston Area Whole-Life Unschoolers
This is currently an announcements-only list. This monthly whole-life unschooling parents' discussion and support group will meet in Natick, Massachusetts, on the first Thursday of each month from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. People with children of all ages are welcome. This monthly meeting is for parents who seek respectful (non-authoritative) relationships with their children, throughout all aspects of daily life.

MA Unschoolers
A support group for unschoolers in MA. This is a friendly, inclusive group for those unschooling or thinking about unschooling.

New England Unschooling

Ann Arbor Unschooling Network
We are a non-religious local support group for unschooling and homeschooling families in the greater Ann Arbor area. The general philosophy is John Holt inspired. This means, among other things, a more relaxed, less structured approach to learning. We offer information, activities, and opportunities to socialize and get to know each other. LAUNCH (Livingston Area UNschoolers and eClectic Homeschoolers)
A secular support group for unschoolers and eclectic homeschoolers in and around Livingston County, Michigan. This non-religious group meets for volunteer activities, field trips and other gatherings as arranged by its members. Most of our activities occur in the Howell area.

Michigan Unschoolers
This group is for families in Michigan that unschool or are relaxed homeschoolers. Based in the Metro Detroit area, but those in other areas are welcome to use this forum to connect and plan activities. Members are welcome to post events and activities as well that may be of interest to other families.


Faribault Educators
Welcome to F.R.E.E.! (Faribault-Northfield-Owatonna Relaxed and Eclectic Educators). Formed in southeastern Minnesota in September of 2002, we are a homeschool support group based in Faribault, Northfield and surrounding communities. Although many of our members follow a relaxed, eclectic or unschooling approach to homeschooling, we are an inclusive group and welcome homeschooling families of any teaching philosophy. Our mission is to form a relaxed community of like-minded home educators and their children who come together regularly for park dates and other enjoyable activities; in other words, to make friends!

Natural Rhythms Learning Coop
This is a coop for unschoolers in the Twin Cities area. We focus our activities and events on the interests and needs of all family members -- mothers, fathers and children of all ages.

Kansas City Unschooling Group

St. Charles County, Missouri Unschoolers
It seems that St. Louis has groups for homeschoolers and unschoolers, and quite a few people from St. Charles County have joined. But while St Louis has a lot to offer, it is a bit of a drive. I hope this group will help people in my area get together for playdates, and other such things!


Alternative Montana Unschoolers
This is a list for unschoolers and homeschoolers in Montana who feel they don't fit into the standard mold of "Montana Homeschoolers", due to differences of religion, educational philosophies, parenting ideas, or what-have-you. We welcome people of all faiths, as well as non-religious people. This is a group where alternative religions and way-out-there ideas are welcome. We will discuss all aspects of unschooling, what our families are doing, events in the area that might interest the group, etc.

Great Falls Unschoolers
This is an online support group for members of the Great Falls Unschoolers cooperative. Our group is inclusive and open to new members in the Great Falls area regardless of race, religion, political affiliation or sexual orientation. We especially aim to create group discussions and group activities to support and enhance the quality of homeschooling for those who are using unschooling or other progressive approaches to teaching their children.


Omaha Unschoolers
The goal of this list is to simplify the dissemination of unschooling information from informal get-togethers to scheduled events. This is also an excellent venue to easily organize group discounts for activities and events whether attending as a group or individual families.


Las Vegas Life Learners
Welcome! Las Vegas Life Learners is a support group for Unschoolers in Las Vegas, Nevada and its surrounding communities. We strive to meet weekly at various venues around the valley. Members are encouraged to jump in and plan events, park gatherings, hikes, etc.

New Hampshire

Free Child Home Learners
Free Child Home Learners meets bi-weekly in Madison, New Hampshire for play and conversation. Our primary goal, as a group, is to provide plenty of freedom for our children to have time to develop their own games, make complex creations, explore new relationships, and develop close friendships. We believe strongly in the value of free play and we try not to schedule many activities for the children on the days we meet so that they can have long uninterrupted hours together.

New England Unschooling

This is an open, secular, inclusive homeschooling network with members located in NW NJ, mostly Morris, Sussex, and Warren counties. It is meant to be a place to meet others in a more local way, find out what's going on, & get more localized support in general.

New Mexico

Rio Rancho & Albuquerque Unschoolers
We are unschoolers in New Mexico. This group has no religious agenda and members will have a wide variety of beliefs and non-beliefs. We are founded as a support group, although we will help people who want to understand unschooling. Our goal is to meet for parkdays and foster local friendships with like-minded within the Rio Rancho and Albuquerque areas. Events and the like are welcomed but not expected.

Unschoolers in New Mexico and Southern Colorado can discuss life and the possibility of get-togethers.

This list is for families in New York who are unschooling ~ that means they are not schooling at home, but living a rich, full life and learning through life.
